I own an owner-occupied double in Uptown New Orleans, and am between renters for the first time. Whats the best way to list the apartment. I have it on Craig's list with pictures, but have not received much bites. Either its a bad time to be finding a renter now that the school year has started, or I have it priced too high ($1650 for 2 bed/1 bath). I don't think it is the latter. Anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to find a tenant?

Your price is decent, but I'd suspect not extraordinary.

Only 1 bath is also a negative. I won't rule out 1 baths, but a 2/2 makes life much easier.

Just trying to kind of lay out the thought process of someone who is in that exact market.

I've seen some awesome spaces in that price range disappear from Craigslist in less than thirty minutes, so you may be doing something wrong or there may just be something about it that is turning people off.
