AXA Financial - Legit?

I got a sales call from these guys. Since I've never heard of them I wanted to throw out the name on here and see what kinds of feelings you had about them.
Basics:
40 years old
Have IRA funds from a rollover years ago
Active in my company 401k (max our contributions each year)
This would just be another avenue for saving. Thoughts on this company?

Part of The Equitable. Yes, they are legit and they will do anything in their power to make you put into an annuity. Then once you are in, you really can't transfer it out without paying some hefty penalties.
