Austin Texas Tech Company Opportunities

Hey all, new here...Wondering if anyone has advice or knowledge about any technology companies in Austin Texas.
I've heard the entire area is booming and things are looking up.
I just graduated from FSU and I've decided I want to see what all the hype of Austin is about.
Anyone from the area or have suggestions for Tech specific industries or companies in Austin to check out?

I founded ran e-commerce shop while in college...I am deciding whether to raise funding for it in Austin or go towards the career path for a couple of years to learn more.
If I do not continue with my startup, I'll be looking to do sales for a Tech company.

I run a tech startup here.
Fundraising in Austin is a motherf*cker. More or less, if your business could qualify for a bank loan, you *might* get VC investment here. Contrary to popular belief, there is very little "risk capital" in Austin... and the little that there is comes with investors so arrogant, you don't want them.
The one thing Austin does have is a large community of 20 somethings happy to be in town. So if you're an employer, it can be a good thing although you aren't quite as able to hire for less $$ as you were a few years ago.

Took me 9 days to find a tech job thru a head hunter once I got back from afghan. Mid 90's pay. So yes, there is something to be said about the tech boom here.

We are flying down to Austin in the middle of June to cable an environment for a data center customer. I'm psyched for the business potential there.
