Looking to get the cert and I'm looking for the best study material as well as details on the application/approval process. Thanks.

Important question, do you intend to keep up with it?

By that, I mean you need to earn a certain number of credits each year for which you will have to pay or it will expire.

I went through the training, took the certification and passed but havent taken a single credit since.

Its a major commitment, just want you to be aware going in.

Yeah, I saw it was something like 60 hrs over 3 years to keep the cert. I figure it's something I might be able to pass on to an employer.

Its not even the money as much as it is the fact that its a giant pain in the arse.

5 years from now you are going to have to spend 10+ hours going over meaningless busy work so they can take their yearly fee.

Anyways, I used LINK / and had no complaints.

Good luck with it and make sure to take the test as soon as possible after you wrap up the training or the details will start to drift on you, failure rate is significant so dont take it for granted.

I was looking at doing this but was wondering if it added enough value to be worth the hassle

I've heard it does. I've actually seen some job postings listing it as a requirement.

I passed the exam on my first attempt back in 2014. It took me about 4-5 months of on and off studying to prep for it. Even though I purchased about three different books, I mainly used Rita Mulcahy's Exam Prep book the most. It's doable if you are willing to commit to studying for it.

To gain the contact hours to sit for the exam, about two months before I intended on sitting for the test I attended a week long exam prep class in Dallas, TX with a company called Crosswind. That helped some as well.

I didn't pay for hardly any of this out of pocket. My employer paid for everything outside of maybe two of the exam prep books that I purchased on my own.

If you have any other questions, I'll do my best two answer them. Good luck!

varies by industry. I have thought about taking the test but haven't bothered to do it, mainly due to the education requirements.

Our company is really encouraging this. I know it is valued in my industry but IDK when I would have time to study.
