Upped my position in CVRR at around 16$ a share. Now after 2 quarters of no dividends and shrinking crack spreads I have no choice but to just hang on for dear life. Anybody else past the point of no return?

I don't follow that one. But do you believe that it'll recover within whatever your investment horizon is? If yes, hold it. If not, sell it. If it's restructuring or the fundamentals are turning, maybe buy more. But far too many people say things like, "you don't lose money until you sell", and stay inside burning houses until there's nothing but ashes left. The only stocks that I've ever been trapped in are restricted shares that I had to hold for a specified period of time. Anything else (whether I'm up or down), I'll sell once I determine that my fundamental analysis was wrong or things have changed for the worse.

CLD
EXXIQ

All that started from TD threads. Why do I still look at Money Talk?

you are down ~38%, in this market that is a gift. If you think they will have liquidity issues i'd get out now (how many people on this board kept trying to catch the falling knife that was EXXI) if you think the busineess will survive, hold on to it. But to think you are stuck in it is the complete wrong way to look at it.

Believe me, I'm not rubbing salt in the wound. But what kept you from bailing? Another poster on here talked about being down 60%+ on a position and said that he was going to go down with the ship (or something like that) if he had to. All I could think was, "why, dude... why???"

Was it just too difficult to admit that what you saw happening was really happening, or was it this thing that people here and other places often say: "I just gotta get even again"? Or was it with a company that you used to work for and you had some sort of emotional connection?

I'm just curious - not judging.
