Go with YHOO instead. They own a nice chunk of BABA and are very undervalued right now. My LEAPs are going to look nice Monday...

Will the avg trader be able to buy at that price or will insiders shoot the price up to around 80-90 the first day, and then let us amateurs in on it?

I'd be interested to know if anybody here ever bought anything off their site and what their experience was like. Just curious...

Want to invest in a company that sells counterfeit Dre Beats?

I'd advise against until they get all the counterfeit sellers off their website

Let's assume I have a way in at the IPO price ($60-65).

What would be your strategy if you were me?

Load up as much as they'll let me buy and hold on for the ride?

Load up and sell some off on the initial bump?

Buy a small amount?

I bought some Powerbands several years ago and resold them. Had no problems whatsoever... was even able to negotiate a better price through chat.

What was your up-front $$ outlay? How did you make the payment? Delivery time? Shipping issues? Quality and packaging??

Small order... like $100. Purchased for 94 cents/per item and sold for $5 per item Payment was made online via ESCROW account. Delivery time was a couple of weeks. Packaging was mehhh, but product quality was surprisingly very well done.

Bump.

I'm thinking about throwing the dice on this. Anyone else going to participate?

After the Facebook fiasco I'm thinking they will do everything possible to make it work out for those who subscribe. Thoughts?

One of my good friends has been in my ear about this for a good while now. I haven't really done any research but is this like the Amazon of the East, or something? When is the IPO, later this month?

Alibaba has more sales than Amazon and eBay combined

I have bought a few things like iPhone cables and cases from Alibaba over the last few months and I got both the cases and the cables dirt cheap (less than $3 including shipping from China). I don't know how they are able to do it, but that was pretty impressive. Obviously shipping takes longer than if you had bought from Amazon, but still the low price was awesome.

counterfeit product makers only play in markers where the original maker is dramatically overpriced. See NFL Jerseys.

I understood it was to price between 60-66. Are you saying trading will open at 90 for the expected pricing, or it will be priced at 90.

No, I expect trading to begin at $90. You're correct in the pricing of the IPO to be at 60-66. And I'm just speculating.
