I'll say this: in every wedding I have stood in (about 10), my tux was cheaper, and in many cases, much cheaper, than the bridesmaid dress.

So if bridezillas aren't willing to throw their own girls a bone, which makes you think they give a hoot about the guys?

And in most places, the groom's tux is free, so he doesn't care either!!

The wedding industrial complex (esp in the Deep South) is such a ridiculous thing. I've watched countless people lose their damn minds over wedding-related merchandise, not to mention the clothing. What happened to low-key and personal/humble? (for the record, we eloped, a solution more ppl should consider)

Getting married in rented tux's is maybe my biggest pet peeve. I'm usually not the "that's trashy" guy, but I cannot believe it's a thing. The chance I get married in some piece of shite rental that some frat baw threw up in at formal or some junior high kid was getting a handie in at prom is zero to none.

I've already told my SO I will either be wearing one of my tailored suits or I'll have a tux made just like I have my suits made. Every one of my friends are in pretty good shape and we comment all the time how idiotic they look in pictures in these rented rain coat looking tuxedos that don't come close to fitting anyone with a figure.

Might be the gayest thing I've read on the money board.

My rented tux for my wedding fit just fine, nothing like what you're describing. I've never had that issue for any tux I've rented, but maybe I don't have the figure you desire. Or maybe the people doing the measurements for me did a decent job. Who knows?

Either way, your post reeks of try hard.

This and baby stuff. All of this stuff people "need" when they have a baby has reached the absurd level.

He told me he pays at wholesale an average of $500 for a full tax (including accessories) and $100 for a pair of shoes.

What's your e-mail? I can lower his wholesale cost for the full tux + accessories by well over 50% and I can do it in bulk.

Forreal.
