For the trailing 12 months, my 401-k is about even money. Are others making money or is this typical of most people's performance this year?'

TIA

last time I checked mine, I was like -12%, so you're probably doing better than most

yup mine is at -14%

I swear if my company had no match i would put all this in RE like i would prefer to do. I hate the lack of control of a 401k,but, hey it is free money even though the fund choices are hot garbage.

Now, my IRA's and brokerage accounts are doing well overall. 401k not so much.

YOY return -2.15%
YTD return +4.10%

Could be worse I guess. 100% in a Lifecycle fund.

My 401k is down 1% the last year, but is only 1/3 of my portfolio. The rest of my investments are up 5%.

Unless you plan to start taking money out of the 401 next year don't worry about it. If anything it likely means you get to buy cheaply again.

+12% ytd.

But I'm way risky overexposed in my company whose in the process of a merger.

Interesting future ahead.
