If he reclassifies now he cant play AAU ball this summer. By waiting until July to announce he can finish AAU ball and then make up his mind.

I think his last AAU game is July 16.

I would rather he just enroll in summer school at Mizzou at start working with the Mizzou staff on his body and game.
He could be a 1 & fine player if he does that. If he stick with AAU that's less likely.

Let the kid finish his AAU schedule. He'll already be giving up his SR yr, McD AA game, etc

His dad was interviewed last week and as Jontay's father he can attend games and 'wink-wink' possibly interact with the parents of other AAU players. So it sounds like there's an advantage to him waiting.

Jontay has already talked about summer workouts with the team. That's where he benifits the most if he reclassifies.
