D. Brown
Maybe I'm but D. Brown was a big time play maker we lost out on. It's not too often you see a player of his ability, size and speed coming out of high school. The dude was a freak! I don't understand how someone of his caliber could just breeze through high school not giving a shite about his grades and his future. I know nothing is guaranteed, but he has an opportunity to play on the next level. Sure were talking about a teenager but someone shouldve been on his arse to get his grades on track. Whats a better platform for the NFL then playing at tLSU at this day and age? I think it says a lot about his character although he did seem like a good kid in his Rivals interview. I wish him luck and if he's as good as advertised he will get noticed.

Its a damn shame that he didn't start trying until now. Or those around him didn't pull an academic intervention. One would think, in this day & age, that a high school kid could make the GPA to qualify.

Yeah, but it's not as easy sometimes as we (adults) make it out to be....you never know what kind of environment a kid has away from school...

A kid may not have a quiet place where they live....and that's not necessarily saying they live in poor conditions....there are upscale homes that I know of where a kid can't concentrate b/c of the environment at that household.

re: D. Brown
Maybe you're right he didnt seem like a dumbarse in his interview, maybe he just didnt have any direction until it was too late. Im just pissed because I wanted to see him play. ie: Ill never see USM play. And by the way Clean (not trying to start shit) what do you do? I've seen you on here a lot, you seem young, just wondering? And I think the chick in your pic is a hairstylist from B.R. that works with my wife? Not sure but it looks like her

I might be wrong, but I think his ACT was the main concern.

re: D. Brown
I would not classify this as "losing out" on D Brown.

If he could get enrolled here, he'd be here. Plain and simple.

We can't lose out on a kid if he can't come here. Don't get me wrong, I wish he committed to us and could play next year. However, if you don't handle your business, you have to live with the consequences.

It really is sad that theses educators and coaches don't get more involved with players today, but a lot of these kids at big time programs keep getting through some how. Jeez, Jarrel Powe could barely read. His high school should be shut down and revamped.

re: D. Brown
Most coaches really do care about their players grades. It's the parents and friends of the players who tell them if you're good it doesn't matter. They really belive up and when their senior year starts they applogize to the coach for not listening for 3 years.
