Any recommendations for visting fans?
I'm not just excited for the game, but also the chance to go to a city I’ve always wanted to visit. What are some of the places, restaurants, etc that are a must visit. Also, how is rebuilding coming, anything that would be a concern for visitors? Thanks in advance, see you guys in a month.

Port of Call on Esplanade for the best burger you'll ever have. It's worth the wait because you can hang out and drink Monsoons, one of the best drinks in the Quarter.

lower your expectations of the service at restaurants and hotels. not trying to be a jerk, but New Orleans for major events is not great service-wise since the storm. housing is tough, especially for service-sector employees, so restaurant and hotel employees are at a premium. The ones there are trying, but unless something has changed in the past month or so, they're just understaffed in many places.

D-day museum is really cool. Downtown NOLA is in good shape - no worries there. To many good places to eat to list but here are a few: Emeril's, K-Paul's, Bayonna.

you'll find alot of great places to eat, but one non food attraction I always recommend to NOLA visitors is the National World War II Museum. Check it out.

yea that dude nailed it, Port of Call's. Great burger and steaks, great NOLA atmosphere, and the drinks are huge and strong as hell.
definitly a place that locals go and most tourists never hear about.

Morning--Cafe du monde or breakfast at brennan's

Daytime--Audubon zoo, D-day museum

Night--obviously bourbon street, Pat O'brein's,

Agree with port of call for a good burger.

Ask around about Mothers resteraunt. Awesome food. Don't let the line outside fool you. It moves fast. Great food any time of day.

Drago's best oysters in New Orleans, and Pascal Manale's BBQ Shrimp.

As long as you stay in the French Quarter area of town everything is good. There are still some outlying areas that are destroyed. Most of the tourist stuff though is located in the quarter, so you should be good to go. Restaurants are plentiful, and too many good ones to list. I suggest just finding the smallest dive you can and eating there. Thats usually where the best food is. And no matter what, you have to hit Bourbon St. after the game. Win or lose there will be a huge party going on.

I find mother's to be overrated. For cheaper "Louisiana food" try the Gumbo Shoppe or Acme Oyster house.

Good call on Drago's - it is located in the Riverside Hilton (new location). Best one bite of food in NOLA (charbroiled oysters).

Another non vote for Emeril's. So overated.

My personal favorite place to recommend to out of town visitors is Commander's Palace, located in the Garden District. Best to go for lunch as its less expensive though you'll need a reservation. I also like the Rib Room at the Royal Orleans for a nice brunch/dinner.

Favorite place to grab a bite in the Quarter is Remoulade's at 309 Bourbon. Also like the House of Blues.
