11Tiger LSU Fan Member since May 2007 462 posts	Refs at the bama game (Posted on 10/23/07 at 10:53 a.m.) This has me worried, the refs absolutly love bama this year and without a doubt,they will try to screw LSU. Hopefully the tigers will be good enough to overcome the bad calls and the no calls. When bama played Arkansas, bama were helped out majorly by the refs, Ole Miss was beat by the refs, and if you watched the Georgia game they had several bad calls against them but georgia still managed to win in OT. I'm not one to believe in conspirises, but this is occuring way too regularly.

Occasionally LSU will get a call like the pass int a couple of years ago in the Bama game. Still don't know how Auburn didn't get penalized until the third quarter this past Sat because I at least saw three holds in the first half. Hopefully LSU blows them out and I hope Miles hangs 50 on Saban.

You forgot that Tennessee was beat by the refs also.

rolltide1283 Alabama Fan Pinson Member since Feb 2007 2415 posts	re: Refs at the bama game (Posted on 10/23/07 at 11:03 a.m. to Mattdaddy311) The refs will be Mal Moore, Paul Bryant Jr., Terry Saban, and Antoine Caldwell (suspended player but the NCAA gave him permission to ref).

If youtube wasnt banned here at work I would find it for ya...

Other than the chop block on Dorsey almost everything else usually evens out. False starts are false starts. We better be worried about jumping on Bama to take the crowd out of the game instead of the officials.

Im not saying that LSU has never got a break with the refs, and yes I remember the interference call you are talking about and LSU should have been flagged. I am talking about this year Bama seems to get all the calls in their favor.

The measurement agaist Arky was iffy, but we didn't win because of it, either. Besides, that game had some iffy calls (and non calls) go both ways. The worst being a gift to Arky. You probably wouldn't want Mrs. Saban officiating if Bama was looking to cheat. Some of the friends she made while in BR are in the Bengal Belles ladies group (my aunt is a member), and have relayed stories of how she's not exactly a fan of the Bama set. She plays the public part but she's not a pom pom waving Gump at heart. Apparently, she loved Baton Rouge and wasn't too happy when Nick the Dick decided to jump ship.

To overturn a call there has to be 100% evidence and there was not. Can you honestly say that if the situation was reversed it would have been overturned? And at Arky,the refs got a measurment when the ball was clearly short of the first down, let bama go over the play, get a drink and line up before they started the clock. In your defense, that didnt give bama the win because Nutt would have found a way to screw it up for arky anyway, but it still seemed like bias.

If so, there it is. It's over now can we move on? That game was 2 weeks ago and it has no bearing on our record. We're 4-1 in the SEC and that won't change as much as y'all want it to. I know it breaks some of your hearts that the AU game didn't decide the west but it's time to move on and root for your team to win the next game. I hope the refs are decent as well but all of this dwelling on the past will give you heart burns!

We need to jump out early and take the crowd out of it. We need to hit JPW early and often as well, imo.
