Creed
My apologies if this topic has been discussed before, I generally don't frequent this board.

I was watching The Office last night, and one of the funniest lines in my mind was the ONLY one Creed had (it probably helps that he's my favorite character).

My question is this: why doesn't he get more lines on that show???

Creed is funny b/c he is subtle.

He's like the Tony's of the show...a dash here and there makes everything better...too much and you'll get the fire shits...something like that...

This.

Creed is an awesome character because he isn't prominent.

Sometimes, he doesn't even have to say anything. Often the camera pans over to him and it's a physical reaction to a comment that is absolutely hysterical.

re: Creed
I've always thought an episode where Dwight had to investigate Creed would be hilarious

re: Creed
I get that he is made to be a background-type character, but I mean even Stanley gets more lines than him, and I think Creed is vastly funnier than Stanley.

IMO one of the best episodes of The Office was the one where there was a watermark of Mickey Mouse having sex with Donald Duck (or vice-versa, I can't remember for sure). And that episode had Creed in it more than any other to date.

re: Creed
keeping creed to to a minimum of lines makes him that much better IMO

re: Creed
Speaking of which, the Office was legitimately funny last night, season 2 quality.

I was starting to lose hope in the show.

Oh, and I agree, Creed is the best character.

Last night's episode was awesome. I literally squirmed a little in my chair when Michael was breaking up with Pam's mom I was so uncomfortable.

re: Creed
There are little mini-episodes online which feature Creed and they are hilarious!
I think this is the first one:
Creed Blackmail

re: Creed
Creed can be funny, but IMO, like the rest of the show, they've taken him absurdly over the top.

re: Creed
Ive always liked Creed. The time Micheal tried to fire Creed on Halloween and he talked him out of it. When they were all out at some club and Creed was there selling fake ID's and I love the episode when they were doing evaluations and Creed didnt even know what his job was. "Ahh, I dont know maybe Cu..CU..Custo something"

These "webisodes" are shot about twice a season and never include the top four (Michael, Dwight, Jim and Pam) because of their contracts. Also Stanley and Phil don't do them because the Screen Actor's Guild hasn't modified residual payments for these "promotional" web only episodes. Because of this, the writers are forced to make some of the less featured characters of the show more featured in these webisodes. A great way for Creed, Oscar, Kevin, etc, to get more face time.

re: Creed
The actor said in an interview one time that he thinks Creed would only be funny in small doses and a Creed-centric episode probably wouldn't be that funny.

Why did I open this up thinking someone had started a thread about the band Creed?

re: Creed
Because clearly you are gay and have no taste in music... :)

if creed were included anymore he would bd unbelievable as a character... He would look like he was trying to act retarded..

Same way that Stanley looks like he is trying to just be the angry black man, but you can believe that because you've seen people like him who just want to be miserable.

But if creed starts to look like he is trying to be that retarded then the character loses credibility...
