6 star recruit miles better be recruiting for next year
Kelvin sheppard

Miles does a good job at keeping guys around for their senior year but this is a must for next year. We can't afford to lose all 4 LB's after this season and sheppard is blowing it up this year. Him, baker and minter/mingo will be studs but we need that expirience and leadership.

completely disagree, I think you need to go back and re-watch the games, sober.

1. he has no hype
2. he doesn't have great stats
3. he isn't an amazing athlete

why would he go pro?

he's been playing good for one month. He was below average for his entire career up until the UGA game apparently jogged some since of wanting to impress his hometown buddies in him. I don't think he'll be a huge prospect with half a year of good film.

He is on track for 100+ tackles this year. That's pretty impressive, especially in the SEC. However, I agree that he has had very little hype and will be back next year as one of the top defensive players.

I really don't see anyone leaving this team a year early. I wouldn't be surprised at all by Peterson leaving after next year though.

Sheppard will be back for 2010. He will play on Sundays, but he needs another year of solid performances to position himself in the top 3 rounds of the draft. Trev Faulk left after his junior season, with a better reume' than Sheppard, and he went undrafted. Sheppard does not need to make that mistake.

I've had a long day, and my brain hurts, so could someone please explain the title of this thread? Oh, and pretend you are talking to a 3rd grade girl. Thanks!

He's just saying that keeping Kelvin Sheppard for 2010 is more important than what any recruit will do next year. That is probably true.

OK. I was wondering if scout and rivals revamped their ratings.

I think he's a top-10 pick if he goes.

Toliver? Has there been a receiver other than Meachem who has been drafted so high with such little production?

Even Meachem had more production in each of his three years and ran a sub-4.4 40. He also struggled initially which will hurt other "one year wonders" even if it shouldn't.
