Now maybe it was the low expectations (the name they chose for the movie didn't help in this), but I was very pleasantly surprised. I mean, considering the subject matter it wasn't bad.

It did degenerate a lot, but not enough for total ruination. The 2nd one can only be viewed as an intentional comedy (I'm positive that it was intended as such), IMO. Kind of like Final Destination 2 vs 1.
