NaturalBeam Notre Dame Fan Member since Sep 2007 1082 posts	OFFICIAL "I LEFT AT HALFTIME" THREAD (Posted on 11/16/08 at 5:51 p.m.) My tickets, my money, I can do what I want. It was cold and I probably would've left at the same time no matter what the score was and who was winning. And don't start saying stuff like "give your ticket to a real fan" - I'm not a democrat and don't believe in welfare. And I do give it away if I don't go in at all. You people make way too big a deal about who are "real" fans - I cut class on Friday, does this mean I'm not a "real" student? Alright, I fessed up - who else was with me?? (don't act like I was the only one, it was very obvious this wasn't the case)

I know several people who had tickets and didn't even bother going to the game. Tried to give the tickets away, but no takers. You are to be commended for attending the game and staying all the way to half time. Better than many.

Had I gone to the game, I would have imagined that I would have left after Troy scored to go up 31-3. I agree that it doesn't mean you aren't a "true" fan if you left early. LSU should have never been in the position of having to overcome a 28-point deficit, but they did, and kudos to them for doing so.

You don't have to go to class to be a student. You are just delaying the learning for when you take the test later. When are you going to "make up" for the lack of support for your team? Nothing against leaving early, but to come back at the after the fact just to proclaim that you are just as big a fan leaving early as those who stayed the whole game just because you were cold is bull shite. That weather wasn't just around your seat, everyone had to suffer the same thing.
