Lange gave up 3, didn't have his best command, but he got out of big jams again and kept us in the game.

Coomes should continue to bat behind Deichmann. He is going to continue to eat, because he is going to see pitches to hit.

I was concerned about Coomes when Paul made the switch from Slaughter.

Coomes' glove has been more than solid & made a couple of great plays last night. His 3 for 9 w/ 4 rbis wasn't too shabby either.

Hess will only get better.

Absolutely, that 2 out 2 run single that tied the game after Deichman struck out was crucial.

The KY homer announcers sounded like they wanted to cry those two innings when Lange struck out batters to end innings with the bases loaded.

The announcers never did get over the tag out at the plate. I kept thinking, someone needs to read the rule to them before they make complete asses of themselves.

I heard them reference it in the second game last night. I wasn't watching yesterday in the first game when the play they disputed happened.

I heard them say the umps reviewed the play and upheld their call. If umps do that then there's something the announcers are missing for them to keep criticizing a call from a previous game.

The play they were crying about was a runner from third thrown out from the outfield. Pap set up several feet up the third base line to take the throw and the runner ran wide of him and missed home. Pap then tagged him trying to get back to the plate. They kept crying that Pap blocked the plate. The throw beat the runner to Pap and the runner shouldn't have tried to score IMO.
