Mine was probably Chad Jones sealing the game in 2009.

from the punt return to the goal line stand he was phenomenal.

remember that game fondly because I got my drivers license the Monday after.

There was also some 50+ year old doofus sitting behind me who brought a chick there on what seemed like a first date. So awkward and horrible to listen to them.

But awesome game

I was in grad school in 2000 at LSU (Mississippi State undergrad, LSU masters and Ph.D.). I talked a lot of shite around BR that week - and felt good about it when State was up 14 in the fourth quarter.

MSU was best in the West from 97-2000, but only managed to make the one championship game. I still say that the LSU game in 2000 is where someone figured out Joe Lee Dunn's defense and sent us to the hell that was the end of the Sherrill years and the Croom error.

crazy to think there was a time, that wasn't all that long a ago, where an OT victory over MSU could cause the fans to rush the field

Last year, I drunkenly wandered into the area where the press loads their pictures to send back to their respective newspapers. I helped a camera guy walk off the field, because he was carrying 4 cameras. A state trooper asked what I was doing in that area. I said helping that guy. he stuck a press bib on me. I watched the rest of the game on the sidelines. One of the greatest games of my life.

I didn't feel bad for him then, but as I watch now, I feel pretty terrible for the guy. Must be a part of getting older I guess.

The good & bad of LSU/MSU history. Back before the internet, LSU won in TS when we got a fifth down inside the 10 yrd line late in the 4th quarter. We scored on the extra down. And the ref holding the down marker on the sidelines used to be Mike The Tiger at one point in time. He went to his grave saying it was a mistake. Bad was when LSU tackled a Moo Cow runner on the 3 yrd line & he literally bounced, several times, into the end zone. Refs gave him a game winning TD late in the game. Karma mabe but I was PO for a long time. Screw John Bond. I swear he played for 6 yrs. And we never tackled him once.
