I'm kinda riding the fence on this one. I like Jimbo for his time at LSU and I admire Gus for working his way up from high school to big time college head coach.
On the balance I'll enjoy either result... but I certainly won't root for Auburn just because they are a SEC team.

I never got that. I don't like most SEC teams and be damned if I am going to pull for them in bowl games.
I will pull for Vandy, Miss St and Missouri

This. Do we not use the we play in the toughest conference card? Well if we dominate in the bowl games and win 7 titles in a row... Kinda makes you feel better about a 9-3 season, no? Bama I can understand.

when your conference dominates in bowl games for a few years, then you start to become known as the best/better conference in the land. and WHEN THAT HAPPENS, the votes start coming in for you when you have two losses and want to make the n.c. game.

I hate when people say they root for the SEC. It is a loser's mentality and I hope all the other SEC teams lose their bowl games. Pro-tip: When Alabama or whoever wins a national title, we all don't win national titles as well.
