Lolwut. Poche was killing it through three. The errors absolutely killed him for the rest of the game

poche accounted for 50% of the errors..

The opinion in the OP is based on ignorance.

It wasn't who started. It's when he should be pulled out.

Honestly, I was on the fence the whole time about starting Poche, but I mainly started that thread because it was only a matter of time before someone else did.

My OP was "might as well get this out of the way"

This thread being started during game one when it looks bad is sad.

I know, but I'm saying if we go 1-1 in our first two games, regardless of the order, you are playing in the same game on Thursday.

We had to strategize to decide what would give us the best chance to win BOTH games.

3 errors and quiet bats may prove to be the bigger story, here.

You NEVER save your ace in game 1 of the CWS. You play to stay out of the loser bracket, and every team there also has a damn good ace.

Reason One--You can't afford to create a matchup of your #2 against their #1.

Reason Two--It's unsettling to your team.

Reason Three--It's both motivating (from disrespect) and encouraging to your opponent's hitters.

Reason Four--You have to wait longer to re-use your ace the second and third time OR you have to re-use him on short rest.

This is well-settled CWS strategy. It's not rocket science.

#1. Poche has been our #1 starter for the vast majority of the season.

#2. Stop being a whiny baby

#3. That's all I got, but it's enough
