You all need to stop blaming Harris, the offensive scheme, etc

Upon rewatch it was very obvious to me that our O-line was atrocious, and that was the main problem.

Of the few times Harris was given a proper window to throw he performed well. That doesn't excuse his errant int at the end, but he was also under pressure all game.

The play calling seemed to be fine as well.

All in all the offensive line was really bad, I mean really bad. Any team with that offensive line performance would have lost Saturday.

If they can somehow turn that aspect of the team around, I think we all will be very surprised at how well that offense will run and who we can beat.
Harris has a lot more to offer than we saw Saturday. Let's get off his back and support the kid.

Geaux Tigers.

When Harris DOES have the rare chance, he stinks it up, though

Finding a cause is not necessarily blaming anyone. However, who recruited/coached these players?

Winning begins with the O line. Our O line looked bad...VERY bad. And we do not have a qb who can overcome that ineptness.

I don't remember any pressure in the second series and there were plenty of times where he had zero pressure. Wisconsin's QB had a lot of pressure yet seemed to handle it.

Harris is terrible

I admit it, he couldn't hit water if he fell out a boat

I couldn't agree more. no QB completes every pass but BH got butt fricked by his OL Saturday.

BH has accuracy issues. We don't throw the ball enough for him to work through his issues. However, Play calls and scheme are primary issues

Miles not only controls the offensive plays, he coaches the Oline.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when the offensive line watches the film on that game. I will say it again because I have said it in numberous post today already. Our offensive line lost this game. And if they don't get their shite together forget what Harris can do or can't do. Yes, Harris's INT was terrible.

The few times Harris had time to throw he looked like a WR thrown into that position at the last minute. He doesn't have it.

I agree that the O-line was really bad. Harris DID display some impressive footwork in the pocket.

BUT, he is not accurate at all. That is what killed him. It's not like we are asking him to run a 40 throw offense; we are only asking him to complete occasional passes/play actions and convert first downs.

But, every curl to Dupre I saw was high. He overthrew more than he hit. It was just not pretty

I agree with the terrible O-line play. Harris was harassed almost every throw he made. I can't count the number of unblocked pass rushers or defensive players in the backfield during run plays.

It was a terrible game by the O-line, terrible.

I don't think Harris is great, but not many QB's perform great under constant pass pressure.

In your own words, please explain how the play-calling "seemed to be fine."

I very much agree with the OP. The number of down votes prove just how biased the fans are. The oline problems are on Miles, but harris wasn't awful. As I've written several times, Harris had several good throws and reads. It is true that Harris hasn't shown much toughness or leadership, but he was okay. He's not out there to win games or be a playmaker, yet. The line didn't do their job for the running game or the passing game.

This. Our offense is not dynamic and Les has always preferred to win by controlling the time of possession, having a strong defense that wins the takeover battle, and counting on special teams to be a net positive.

I haven't reviewed any stats or film for the past few years but I'll bet when we dominate the line, we win. When we don't, we struggle. In the successful years, we were able to overcome poor line play with defense and special teams. That hasn't been the case lately.
