To be fair, the majority of the empty seats were on the east side of the stadium where it gets extremely hot. It's a miserable experience for even the most diehard of fans. Glad I moved to the west side.

Spoiled pieces of shite. 2003 Georgia game was very hot but it was sold out and the loudest it’s ever been

Where the HIGH temperature yesterday was 78 degrees. You need to just STFU about fans opting out of paying out the arse for parking and concessions in order to sit in the sun with 110 degree heat index for 4 hours while CBS drags a 60 minute game out. What an AH.

I was in the NEZ end zone. It was absolutely brutal. Hottest I can remember being in the stadium. Made it the whole game but felt terrible afterwards

Right there in 212. Sweated my arse off. Drank 3L of water.

No it wasn't. It was cloudy during that game.

And you need to read my other posts...if you can manage it. I'm from the gulf coast, and an LSU alum. I've been through hot day games at Tiger Stadium and know how miserable it can be. Just 'cause I live up in yankee land now doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. What a little boy you are......

I can't blame the fans on the East side for staying in the concourses. I was there and in the sun the whole game. It was brutally hot.

When I was at LSU (78-81), I was at every game.
Then you saw me play. During that time period, I was the GBFTL Bass Drummer that did the "Beat" when the band comes out on the field for Pre-Game.

BTW, one of the former GBFTL Grad Assistants from back then (Mike Strasser) is a Professor of Musicology at Baldwin-Wallace College in Cleveland. If you're over that way, go look him up and tell him you're an LSU guy..........

well, those fools that didn't go to that game for that reason obviously missed one of the all time great performances in the stadium.

but, you are just making an assumption. I would assume the heat had much more to do with it.

sorry it doesn't fit your narrative pal, but this team HAS potential for great performances. it's not a contender because of youth and inexperience in many positions but it has talent. if you can't see this, I suggest that your bias is in the way. open your mind. you might enjoy the season that way.

False. Charge loyal fans for literally anything and everything, paired with dismal hires and this is the result.

Everybody keeps saying 90 degrees, which it was outside the stadium. However, CBS kept showing a temperature gauge and it was right at 100 inside the stadium. Plus, you add the humidity. And then you have a stadium full of drunk people giving off all those BTU's at one time, and it's a fricking microwave oven. Especially for the folks with a direct face shot of full sun ray on the East side.

Worth noting that neither team really had cramp issues.

Nods to both team's S&C and medical staff.

Just thought it was worth a comment.

I for one am glad so many "fans" left early. And missed one great SEC football game. Mabe this will serve as a lesson. Pick any reason you want, and LSU "fans" have a 100 of them, but watching this game/conclusion live in Tiger Stadium vs watching it on tv, there is no comparison. That was the old Tiger Stadium. Imagine the noise had all 100,000 stayed, how it would have helped the team. How you would have felt afterwards.

It's funny to hear the "hot" excuse now as to why the stadium is only half full in a big game versus a Top 10 opponent. It's Louisiana. It's hot and humid here. It's been hot and humid for games since they started playing in Tiger Stadium. Using that as an excuse is laughable considering most people attending these games are from La.

I sit in 411 and yes it was brutal, but most in our area stayed till the end. There was a couple sitting in front of me who I've never seen before that got pissed off at 17-0 and left.

I drank water all day before the game, enough that on a normal day that would make me go to the restroom every 15 minutes, but it was so hot that I never had to go. Even after all that water, I lost over 5 pounds.
