This may have been discussed already. I live in Lubbock with no real military base within 90 miles from here, the closest one is in New Mexico. I see Texas Tech with the wounded warrior project uniforms and wondered if LSU does anything for this cause.

This and St Jude will be the charities I donate to the most once I'm able to make money and have a career.

Although 100 percent of the proceeds from the game-used jerseys will go to the Wounded Warriors, just 10 percent of the sale of replica jerseys will be donated to the project.

From Northwestern's ridiculous flag costumes last season

Reese was shut down with base realignment under Clinton. The facility is now like a huge industrial park. Cannon AFB is the closest now.

I never knew it was for UA only.

UA is a visible supporter of Wounded Warrior Project. You see a bunch of UA shirts on the Wounded Warrior commercials.

Be careful which charities you donate to. Some have become more business enterprise than charity. No doubt WWP does some good for the community, but they contribute less than 50% of their intake to wounded warriors.

I just learned that about 30% of every dollar WWP receives makes it to those who need it. It costs a lot of money to run all of those commercials.

Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society and Army Emergency Relief FTW. Both with only 12% administrative overhead.

Hey guys, this maybe a shameless plug, but my brother in law and I started a nonprofit called the wounded war heroes (we have a 501c). Same principles as wounded warrior project. Absolutely 100% of the donations go to wounded veterans. Jacques Doucet's red rock and blue is also a great charity. Check our our website and see some amazing pictures. Wwhfr.com

It is hard to really gauge the value of a charity based off of the percentage of your donation that goes to the organization. In an ideal world, no nonprofit would have "overhead," but overhead is what helps an organization grow.

See this video.

THIS....I own a couple of businesses and wanted to do a fund raiser for them two years ago as part of a poker run for Vets on Memorial Day weekend. They told me to just send a check but that I could not do a cookout and take donations on their behalf and use their name. 100% was going to them as we do with all of our charity cookout events (Eagle Scouts, Healthy Start Coalition, VNA Hospice, etc). First time I've ever had that happen.
