Would you rather this year's LSU team over an explosive offensive team?

I love this type of team. The defense is violent and intimidating to other teams. The offense does what the coaches ask them to do without making a lot of mistakes. They give the defense time to get their wind between series. I will take this type of team over one with an explosive offense and shitty defense.

Tiger Stadium is at its absolute Loudest and Best when LSU has a nasty defense. Fact.

I think we have the makings for an explosive offense. It's our game plan to wear teams down though and I can live with that.

I agree with this, but it just leaves so little margin for error against good teams. It is what it is though and it is not going to change.

More often than not, a team will have a better record with a nasty defense moreso than an explosive offense.

See 1998 LSU team.

Right. Coming out of the blocks and trying to be "explosive" on every offensive possession would be a horrible detriment to this team.

This offense is doing exactly what we need it to do to win games with the team we've assembled and given the opponents we are playing.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is retarded.

This team is built for ball control and defense. I love it. Let the women and children salivate and long for a team that throws the ball up in the air for attempted homeruns on every other play.

As long as LSU is winning or the game is close no one will know how explosive this offense is b/c they grind the clock by design. All the experts say the offense is predictible and bad but who cares what they think, it is Les' style and it works. I'll take the nasty D all day long b/c high powered offense can always be stopped sooner or later when they hit a good defense ie Oregon 2011 and OU 2003.

i'm not saying this with any kind of angle. but last night we looked like a saban team.

picking it off late. running three times and kicking the fg while working the clock. those of you who pick on miles for that, it's exactly the thing saban would have done and probably pissed fisher off.

it felt like the early 2000's.

whatever wins, but i love a nasty arse defense.

as long as they move the chains...i'm happy.

it also is very refreshing to see an OC that doesn't force an option run with a QB that isn't and never will be cut out for it.

This Team can be Great. The d is ,well youve seen them, And ive seen improvement in the Offense every week, they will be ok. The kick coverage needs to tighten up ,but other than that i couldnt ask for any better.
