There is a right answer to this, and it's not the NIT.

Are those the choices we've been reduced to ? I don't think so.

1 in the NCAA is better than winning the NIT all together

that is really a dumb question. There is no comparing even 3 wins in the nitwit tourney to just one in the big dance.

winning the NIT means that you're the 65th best team in the nation

Nope, not even close...several of the lower slots are automatic bids and not based on record or strength of schedule, etc.

would rather WIN the NIT, than lose in the firt game of the NCAA. Because it basically says you deserved to be in the NCAA, while losing right off the bat could say you don't deserve to be in the NCAA

Who won the NIT last year? who cares. NCAA is the goal. Trust me the recruits we need here are not watching the NIT, they are watching the big Dance, not the NIT, no kid goes to any school to go to the NIT

totally honest opinion here-
losing 1st round NCAA game would be better than winning the NIT, to me

I can assure you winning the nit over one win in NCAA would get LSU more respect and a better chance to be ranked in top 40.

With all due respect to the NIT, no one cares bout it other that the team that wins it. imo

I would be willing to bet that 80% of college fans couldn't tell you who won the NIT just 10 months ago.

whatever tournament you get in... seeing the bubbles every year, there's usually no rhyme or reason as to what the committees want. sometimes, an LSU resume can get you in, sometimes not

Get to the NCAA and lose by 50 is better than winning the NIT. Why does this question keep getting asked?
