Was talking with my dad about this. We would often see plays where the defense would stack the box and Fournette could easily kick the ball out with his speed and get into open field rather easily; similar to the sweep play against State in the red zone. But instead he usually hits the hole for a few yards to hit the defense in the mouth and tire them out.

Dad was saying he'd rather us hit them slowly and watch them wilt at the end. But if Fournette was able to take big gains by going around the defense would you rather him do that?

I personally love the wear the defense out mentality, but sometimes it's too frustrating watching 3 and outs against a very deep front 7 where I wonder if it really makes a difference.

I think he should keep doing what he's doing. Seems to be working pretty well.

He averaged 12 ypc...he got plenty of big gains. Kicking the ball outside is not a preferred running style for a running back.

The fewer hits the better, obviously. It only takes one hit in the wrong place to cause a problem.

Go north south until you cant. Even the greatest at changing direction (Barry Sanders) always started north/sout and went east/west when he had to.

I trust him to make the right decision, but i will never complain about a north south runner.

If he doesn't bounce it outside, it is probably because he doesn't think he can. It looks easy on TV, but its equally easy to get tripped up.

I'd want him to use his vision and instincts and decide for himself on the field. He's pretty good with power, footwork, and speed.

Sorry I'm still learning to suppress the nega in me. I'll try to enjoy the win and forget about finding something wrong.

Hit. People are saying they haven't seen a great running back like fournette since Bush. Bush danced. Fournette is a man and runs your arse over

Fournette breaks opponents will by running past 2 of them and then over 2 more, all in the same play.

To answer your question, yes.

Whatever works best, helps the team win, and keeps him healthy.

But I love watching him steamroll defenders.

I think by just bull rushing guys, he's actually lowering his chance of taking something hard to his knees or some sort of blind side shot. Why plant and cut on your knees when you can just go head on and run through them?

Whatever cause the least amount of damage to his body. He's just as effective taking it around the end and moving in space as he is pounding it up the middle.
