don't give a shite about the Saints, and in that scenario Saban doesn't go to Bama making LSU second fiddle to Bama.

vs 10% college students with their body painted, 10% actual alumni of the school, and in the case of Tiger Stadium 80% white trash from Livingston or some other redneck town who never stepped foot in an LSU classroom yelling racial slurs at black quaterbacks?

ya a 20 year old with body paint is just like a middle aged guy in a dress with a pig nose, or a Brees/Manning/Brady etc. jersey and a hard hat. Or wearing a jersey at all.

Whatever you say.

You do realize going to LSU is not a big deal.

Neither is going to Tulane. I got into both and made the better choice.

And since this is a sports board, we are talking about sports. I am referring to a "major university" from that perspective.

Going to MIT may be a big deal, but it is not likely to cause a big allegiance to college football.

Try to follow along.

no. everything worked out better for everyone.

Brees w/o Sean Payton is good-great.
Brees with Sean Payton is HOF

Saints won a SB
LSU won a NC

Can't complain.

Perhaps his parents had options and didnt have to go to LSU

I don't care where he went to college. I'm saying they should have introduced him to LSU football at a young age like my parents did. You don't need to start liking LSU football at 18 that's ridiculous. It starts way before that.

Saban signs Drew Brees, he doesn't go to Bama, and the Saints don't get Brees, Saints don't win the SuperBowl...Miles has one maybe 2 more national championships as a result?

Yes. Not all LSU fans are Saints fans. Myself included.

Doesn't matter how hard your school is. Most ivy league slapdicks are occupying wall street with no job.

I don't agree with this. I was going to LSU games since the mid 90's. I still love it.

Admitted, but I'm not chiding people for not having gone to a "major university"

I'm not chiding anyone. I don't think someone who went to who went to LSU, Bama, UGA, FSU, UF etc. would choose the dp on their program for a super bowl.

In the sports context, those are "major universities." MIT, Tulane, Emory, W&L, etc. are not. It's not that complicated.

Happy for you napoleon. Not that it is in any way relevant to this thread.
