I'd rather the rushing. Last air raid to win a championship?

Terrible. We're a running team and it would mean that our OL is gar-bage

If we had 300 through the air the running lanes would be wide open and Fournette would really run wild.

Imagine what Fournette would do if the box wasn't completely stacked and defenses had to respect the pass. Holy shite, that would be unfair.

Throwing for 300 means LF gets way less touches.

It would also open up our fanbase's negativity to a lighter, less weighed down subject.

Would you be happy if the stats were reversed and we were 2-2 and unranked?

Look how well no rushing did for Ole Miss.

Passing teams dont win Championships.

well in that scenario he wouldn't need very many touches to get over 200 yards a game

They'd still stack the box on every play and blitz.

Throwing the ball a lot opens up opportunities for a lot of things to go wrong

What the OP is saying is, what if our strength was passing and we struggled hard at rushing. Fournette would obviously not be on our team in this hypothetical.

I'd bet that most people wouldn't mind our poor rushing attack, but would instead hate our defense because we'd lose games 55-52

Forgive me, but I do not see the point of this question. Some of us here want a balanced offense. What do you not understand about that?

This is 100% true. I think it would be a terrible mistake for us to just out of no where start throwing the ball every down. I'm somewhat happy that we found out our passing game isn't where we need it to be against Eastern Michigan instead of finding out against Florida. Now we at least have time to put together some sort of support for our running game before it's too late.

There it is, the curious belief that scoring points makes the defense bad. A belief shared only by LSU fans who look to justify the horrible passing game.

Tell me all about the championships won in the modern era by teams who only pass for 80 yards.

Wrong. Our defense is masked by our rushing attack. Our defense is not performing well right now, but it would be more evident if we scored through the air quickly and gave the other team the ball so frequently.
