Sure, say hello to your new LSU Tiger head coach, Bradley Dale Peveto....

If his choices in offensive coordinators is indicative of his ability to hire good head coaches then...NO! However, he would make a great ambassador for the school and he should rightfully be honored in some capacity for the SEC Championships and National Title.

Alright, I'll play along.
What is an AD's primary responsibility?
To manage all of the head coaches and the Athletic Department writ large.
With this understanding and watching Miles for a decade at the helm of the LSU football program, would a resonable person come away with the impression that Miles was a competent manager?
Or put in Les-speak, he might have the want but the garbled gets too messaged.

People that are loyal to a fault dont make good ADs

While this is a shitty thread, I believe he would.
The man always knew how to surround himself with good people, except when it came to his buddy CCC, which even at the time, looked like a good hire on paper to most people. He always had an eye for coaching talent though, which is part of being an AD. I think a lot of people love the man Les Miles and would be willing to work for him.
Also, a lot of people forget, being an AD also means being a fund raiser. Les Miles was very good at that himself as well.

Or Crowton
Or Malveto
Or retiring Peveto
Fail.

In fairness, Miles did win the Natty with Crowton at the helm of the Offense and Mallory and Peveto as Defensive Assistants.
Malveto was a failure that was corrected after one season.
Peveto is a real good recruiter, not so much as a coach.

Not if he is a stubborn hard head who can't form a complete sentence.
A good guy? Yes.
