Would be nice to have an LSU man as coach one day

The Chavis situation just goes to show how this is all business for most coaches that grew up fans of and played/ coached for other schools in the conference or up north. Do you think someone who is really passionate about LSU (like most people on tigerdroppings) were coaching here and having success, they would threaten to leave for Arkansas or a division rival like A$M?? And a day after coaching the team just leave and start thinking of how you are going to kick their arse next year and Im sure Chavis' fat arse is gonna be all over Louisiana soon telling kids they don't wanna go to LSU

Don't care about school affiliation. I want the best person possible for the job.

I don't want any of you coaching LSU

This. I never understood why school affiliation should matter. How does it make you a better coach?

Ryan Clark wants to coach when he retires.

He'd need to start from the bottom and prove himself as a coordinator.

Naw. He would spend half the game padding his post count.

I agree. But have you seen him on ESPN? VERY well spoken. Young. Smart. Has a superbowl ring. Made a pro bowl. Would kill it IMO.

Bama did this for years after The Bear retired. Nothing worked for them until they hired Saban.

I do like Miles. That said, two things for you...
1) I said best person POSSIBLE. Who out there right now would be better...that is available...after LSU does not pay the crazy buyout for him. I think logically, sorry...
2) I would have had no problem if Les had been offered the job, and left for Michigan.
Just because I like someone, it doesn't necessarily mean I think they're the best person for that position forever...

Stallings did okay there...

Yeah with the exception of GS

I am going to bed. These idiots think Saban is God and before him Bamawas shite.

Not a requirement obviously. But it would be a plus for the reasons I mentioned. Mostly just a good feeling of having someone in charge that loves the school and state he represents and not just if he can have a few good years so he can jump to a better opportunity or leverage more money by threatening to go to a rival team. And then tell the players and fans how much he loves being at LSU
