Without very questionable calls Bama doesn't score a point either. Why is it so hard for you to see that the penalties, or lack thereof, lead directly to the winning Bama score?

The bogus late hit extended a drive and the no hold calls gave them a TD. The non call on the targeting and the offsetting penalty BS along with the bad intentional grounding call on Etling took us out of scoring opportunities.

All that aside, if Malone hadn't made the exact same type of mistake they were making against Wisky then Etling may have gotten off a pass to the deep receiver who appeared to be breaking open on a deep post. Instead it became a turnover. I wish we had made the plays which were available and beat them anyway. We had chances

Did the refs do our offensive play calling?

Nobody can blame this loss on refereeing.

Alabama's offense was also very bad, but the refs threw them several bones.

I'm not sure how bama fans watch that game and don't recognize what happened.

How do they say they "won" that game with all those missed calls?

What a joke college football has become. Just pathetic.

Worst missed call of the night by Catman88
I wouldn't call the White bump a phantom call. It was very callable however it didn't match the consistency of the calls made the rest the game in the slightest...

That's my problem with that call, all game they were "letting them play" until it got too close for comfort it seems

LSU's offense was just as effective as theirs, but because the refs walked Alabama down the field so they could score, people want to forget the fact that the Tide only had two chances to score field goals after their missed field goal.

that is why Saban was smiling during his post-game interview with LaForce. He knew they got away with some BS.

Did anyone else see Doral get slammed to the ground after catching ball on sideline in 4Q? Ref stood right there on AL side and watched.

To say the ref calls and no calls wasn't responsible for us not scoring is the falsist of stupid macho bravado. Those that continue this tripe are nothing more than Nick Saban idolators and Bama wannabes. Hit the road and good riddance

Prejudice refereeing when playing Alabama is real for every team.
Has been since Sabans arrival there.
Most coaches know it, it must be factored in to a game plan, just like a good running or passing game.

Don't know if it's because of Saban(or fear of him)
Don't know if it's because of SEC front office.

One thing is for sure and this everyone should know.
The SEC has the worst officials of ANY conference...and they are equally bad for everyone...except Bama

ANY contact to head or neck area, with any part of the body (does not need to be the crown of the head, or even helmet) to a defenseless player is targeting.

However, DE was running and past the LoS and had pulled the ball down which the idea of not looking downfield or something he is no longer defenseless.

But then there's the slide... which is the question I have. Does NCAA recognize slide as defenseless? I thought not.

But then... that has been applied for years all over the NCAA. QB or any player (WR, K, RB) that gave himself up in such a manner has been considered defenseless.

I will guarantee you if Hurts was sliding and got hit in the head helmet to helmet it would have been the nastiest LSU player of all time behind the hit.
Bama isn't as great as the media says they are. Go Auburn. (can't believe I typed that!)

Yes. They do. Which is why the fans have a right to be upset.

That has always been my beef with the SEC and their favoritism: They allow the health of the players to be compromised in order to help their big money teams.

LSU fans should be used to this by this point. Bama gets away with it all the time.

Every year we are reminded when we play Bama about PP7's INT in 2009 that was called back. Reality is the worst play of the game was Jordan Jefferson getting speared and taken out of the game. There is a photo of Ritter staring right at JJ getting speared. No call.

Then there was the famous Dorsey play in 2007 where a Ref watched AU chop block him. No flag.

The list goes on and on and on.

That is my problem. I get that we have to sway outcomes for "entertainment", but don't allow the chosen teams to also injure the opposition. That's just wrong. Isn't tilting a game enough? Apparently not.

This game was decided by a couple of small things that did not go our way. With that said, the OL and Etling played like shite.. They played like shite and we were still in this game.

We will never win the big one until we have a complete team and a good QB, OL and OC.
We are 3 pieces short of a good team. Miles struggled to build a complete team. We have been one or 2 components short for years.
Bama looks like a complete team to me with great players, We are not there.
