Worst/funniest prediction about LSU you've heard

I live in the Panhandle of Florida, and let me tell you about the local sports talk station, 100.3 The Ticket................or maybe not. It's just awful. Just a bunch of local boys who pander to the Auburn/Alabama/Florida crowd that dominates the area. Well I don't listen to him much, but Scott Moore has an SEC show on in the evenings some time, and he was going over his predictions for this weekends games. He had a co-host who I guess is either very young or just new to the show, and every time Moore made a prediction, the other guy would typically follow with "I could see that". Really in depth analysis.
He gets to LSU/McNeese St, Moore goes with 45-0 LSU, and brings up that Herby and Corso have LSU in the playoffs. Well new guy decides it's his time to shine and pipes in with "I just don't see this with LSU. There's no stability at QB (maybe I can see that, let's see what BH can do), no stability at offensive line (o_O), the defense can only do so much (???), and Fournette is going to be contained ( )."
I legit was screaming "WHAT" at the radio, and although I never would call in to one of those shows, a part of me really wanted to.
What I would give for satellite radio.

besides the offensive line part the rest seems fairly reasonable... fournette will be "contained" if we dont have a qb who can complete 10 passes a game..so would adrian peterson

agreed.

With last years anemic passing game, LF still wasn't "contained", just wasn't used as much as he could have been. He'll have a lot more room to run this year.
It was obvious it was an observation from someone who hadn't actually paid attention to LSU in the offseason and had probably heard one of his fishing buddies say the same thing over a 12 pack of natty light.

Memphis caters to Ole Miss/Arkansas fans that love to hear LSU is going to fall flat out their face.
Most predictions have been 7-5. The funniest has been some guy who says we might have a good defense but our secondary is too weak. I almost wrecked the car.

IIRC somebody the other day posted about how McElroy said LSU could possibly go 5-7. For this to occur, LSU would have to lose to Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi State, and Auburn. That's probably the most ridiculous.
Of course McElroy followed that one up by saying he "isn't worried at all" about Bama at QB.

I used to live in the area. I listened to the Rob Brown show every morning and it was terrible. The amount of um's he used was hard to listen to. I don't know if he is still on the air though.

Yeah, that sounds awful. Craziest prediction I've seen is 7-5. This is a better team than last year and they couldve easily gone 10-2.

Rob Brown was terrible. He liked to always take long pauses and repeat a sentence 3 times in order to make his point sound less idiotic.
Haven't heard him on in a while, though. Their format is so weird.

George Lapides is old as dirt, and has been around SEC sports for an eternity. He shocked his Memphis audience by picking LSU to go 11-1 and win the west. He then throws a bone to Ole Miss fans by saying the one loss will be at Oxford.

In Orlando, radio has us 7-5, but when one said Ole Miss would win the west it was difficult to stop laughing.

he wasn't contained last season with a QB who couldn't complete 10 passes a game.

I think the national guys have enough trouble with the power 5 teams and a few others. That is a lot of info to digest. Anyway with local guys they have to pander to their audience and pay close attention to the teams the far majority of the audience supports. This leaves them little time to get into other teams, so their op eds are based on what happened last year.
I think this Herbie, Corso, McShay, and Golic love for LSU came originally from Phil Steele and then I believe Herbie actually went to a practice and saw a good QB playing with and against serious athletes. Fans on here basically assess LSU preseason and then re assess after every game.
