Yes, some players are going to be good no matter what. I think Beckham and Landry fall into that category.

Yes, both are talented. Randy Moss missed 2 full seasons during his college-age years...how did he turn out?

There was a time during OBJ's sophomore year that people hoped Mettenberger threw to Boone more.

There was a time when OBJ had a problem with drops.
OBJ worked on his problem with drops while at LSU.
OBJ does not have a problem with drops anymore.

Yes they would have been without Henry (no shade)...Some athletes are harder worker and go the extra mile(s)beyond the organize practices and these two would do that!
Side Note: But if OBJ do that again to my Cowboys he and I are going to have a problem

No. Landry and OBJ is just naturally talented. They really didn't need coaching at the college level.
Look at Quinn. Look at Diarse. Look at Dupre. Those guys aren't exactly lighting the world on fire because these coaches at LSU don't do a whole lot for these guys.
They're talented when they get to LSU and aren't really taught anything. They had that when they got there.
Like I said. Loom at the current crop of WRS now. Quinn is terrible. Diarse disappears...Dupre has had a few drops this year.
I'm all about hiring a new WR coach

If they sucked it would be the coaches fault 100%. Because they've been successful it's their natural ability and hard work, not coaching.
Am I doing the rant ultranegative shuffle right?

You almost got it. Just add in that the coaches suck for not doing more with the talent they recruited and of course Les Miles should be fired.

Don't forget route running too. Miami and NY rave about how Landry and Becham are so great at running routes.

I think this is where Coach Henry helped them more than anything. OBJ has big hands that are solid, and his drops were probaby related more to concentration issues. Jarvis had his share too but was more consistent throughout this career catching the football, especially contested catches. I think Coach Henry's NFL experience with NFL route trees, along with the NFL way of doing things gave each of them an edge, and of course they both are blessed with God given talent!

Of course. These were both top 50 national talents. Their college and pro production has not been surprising.

Definitely. These guys are awesome talents. Do you think Henry taught OBJ to catch the ball that way?
