Well what do y'all want? Wins in Omaha or Championships? If Paul got to the semi finals and lost every year would that be okay
it would be significantly better than losing regionals/supers in Baton rouge..

National seeds & hosting SR are great, but if you don't do anything with them they tend to get overlooked. Not being in a winners bracket game in omaha in quite some time or getting beat at home in a SR tend to sour the season.

Kind of like the football team that goes 11-1, but then gets blown out in their bowl game. Yeah...great season, but most people dwell on the last game.

My question is simple: who could LSU hire that has proven he can do better than CPM? I just don't see that guy out there waiting to come to LSU.

Honest answer: Nobody

The answer most of the idiots on here will give you: Blake Dean! Look at what he's done to UNO!

LSU could pull two of them if not all 3 if we wanted too. The problem is some of y'all are happy paying CPM 1.125 million for what he is putting out there.

We all want wins, but the people with brains recognize that you don't just fire CWS championship coaches to go get people that we actually wouldn't get because all the best coaches in the country are at jobs that have become baseball powers over the 10 ears that were not before. Especially since he's still winning a shite ton.

Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, and South Carolina all do, and that's just in this conference.

But blue bloods in baseball really can't dominate. I love college baseball but I feel the sport is getting cheapened.

it's been cheapened because 10 teams can't dominate the sport every year?

Do you think Mike Martin at Fl. State isn't a good coach? Never had a championship. Sullivan has looked good at Florida, how many championships? Same thing, none. Who has consistently won championships in baseball over the last 15 years?
Its simply too difficult to stockpile talent due to scholarship limits, the Draft always takes a few, injuries also play a part. Sometimes it is just all about getting hot at the right time of year whether by timely hitting or lights out pitching, maybe even a combination of the two. Sorry, but no team will dominate like we did in the 90's

Taking 1 from a top 25 ranked team at their house in the sec is not bad at all. Tough to go 2-1 on the road vs top programs in conference. Obviously hits with risp were scarce but a lot of that was great Florida pitching hitting loose corners. We had a great chance Friday night with great pitching and didn't win. It happens.

Because LSU doesn't pay more than any professional baseball team. Top players get skimmed off every year and you don't know who will go pro straight out of high school. Throws a monkey wrench into things and that is enough to jostle up the top 25 teams.
