That would stress me out so much. I know each season at LSU I can have student tickets if I want them. But it looks like only half of UW students can get then each year.

Yes...every season ticket holder who requested them got them and that was unexpected. There are plenty of people who had other people request them as well...hell, we needed 5 and requested over 14 total (through other people we knew). Everyone who requested tickets for us has no plans on going and will sell their tickets as soon as they get them in hand. I promise you there are plenty of other similar situations. Don't overspend here....they will be on the ticket exchange by mid august for face value.

Most of the students will be back on campus as Welcome Week, much like every school, is a huge party.
Honestly, I can't really pinpoint why Wisconsin's student allotment for this game didn't sell out. It's a bit perplexing, especially when I previously mentioned that student section tickets at Camp Randall sold out in just over an hour; that isn't atypical, either.
One issue could be accommodation...? If you're staying in Green Bay, or in proximity of it, nothing is cheap. In college, I couldn't imagine my parents giving me a two- or three-hundred dollars to go to a game 150 miles away.
Eh, whatever.

Well less than half.
Wisconsin has an enrollment that exceeds 40,000, and with a student section of 14,000 (still a large student section), only about one-third get student tickets.
It's quite an adventure when 7:30am (CST) hits on the day they go on sale.

Jeff Potrykus, who covers Wisconsin basketball and football for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, says that 1,000 tickets remain unsold from Wisconsin's student allotment.
