Seems like every year this comes up. DeSean Smith and Jacory Washington are probably our best receiving threats on paper at the position. Allegedly Cameron likes to utilize TEs in the passing game. (hasn't yet at LSU however)

Hopefully so. We saw flashes of it during the bowl game and it worked tremendously.

I have to agree here. That offense in the bowl game was completely different from the offense we saw the entire year. going forward for use to ultimately be successful we got to pass the ball. No more of this Les Miles run the football 75% of the time offense its go time if were ultimately going to make a splash this year.

Will it matter if LSU wins?

I don't get the big deal with the TE love around here.

This is the year where LSU breaks Its own TE receiving record. We"ll look back years from now & call it "The Year of TE". I really pumped!

Look at the offensive numbers when we had a capable QB, you'll realize what Les Miles offense actually is.

LOL!!!!

That would mean that LSU realizes that you are allowed to throw the football over the middle of the field

You do realize we won the games, other than bama, where we were able to rush it 50+ times.

I know people hate us running it, but auburn played for a national title with just running the ball.

The coaches made the rt decision last year after the auburn debacle.

I see us continuing to run it. The problem is, the wrs,TEs and qb need to make the plays when called upon.

Did you watch the bowl game against Notre Dame?

The offense struggled last year. Perhaps adding another dimension to the offense could help move the chains.

I'm guessing Dural and Dupre are going to be our go to guys along with Quinn and Diarse picking up the slack

Dural and Dupre are guys that can stretch the field and possibly open up things underneath

If we actually do have a legit receiving threat at TE I think the offense could benefit greatly by utilizing that threat. I'm not saying they need to snag 5 balls a game. But 2 would be nice.

Actually I missed it because I was driving back from offshore. Listened on the radio. Sounded like Smith had a good game.

But he was the leading TE with receiving yards with something like 66 yards on the season

No and we'll continue to recruit 10 more to the roster next season.
