Kinda my line of thinking. We may get some open looks at a deep ball but those are high risk and its known that its not Etling's strong point.

Tiger Stadium will be a huge advantage that I hope stays involved even if its boring for a while

I think we can play Ole Miss straight up on defense. Their running game is a joke. Judd is good but hardly a world beater. I say play a standard run defense, but don't give Kelly time to think, and we'll shut them down.

If Ole Miss stacks the box, they're fricked. Etling is not Superman, but he doesn't have top be to cut them to pieces with our WR's.

One of the Oxford media guys was on Moscona yesterday and talked about how terrible they were stopping the run. Said they had no DL depth and their linebackers aren't SEC quality. So, they're gonna have to sell out to stop the run. People seem to not realize that Leonard had a bunch--if not most--of his big runs against stacked boxes last year. If we block it right and he makes a LB miss, there is usually nobody in the 3rd level to stop him. If he's 100%, I think he'll bust a few big runs. We'll obviously pass more than we did with Les, but a 300-yard rushing game wouldn't surprise me.

And I think if Aranda's defense can get pressure on Kelly and force a few turnovers, that they'll likely give up on d in the 4th quarter. If we're up a couple of scores and they realize they have nothing left to play for, I imagine we'll just pound it. But if they block us effectively, it could be a shootout. Cause they are gonna get their yards. An we stop them from scoring though will--obviously--be the key.

I would feel more confident in our offenses ability to run on this defense if our Oline was injured.

Coach O already said when he took over LSU was done running into a stacked box. If Mississippi stacks the box the WRs will eat them up on the go routes.

People just don't get it.....coach O has taken the predictability out of LSU's offense......if they stack the box, Etling will take what the defense gives us—& he will make them pay dearly...

I expect more 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 back sets to give our RBs room to run.

If your players are more worried about the song being played before a play, than what play or scheme they are about to face, then you've got real problems with your football team.

The fans want to see the LSU offense work. They don't care how. They have a problem with repeatedly doing what's not working.

We were ahead 35-10 and we were still throwing it around. The days of "Les ball" are over. AMEN

Well, that's imaginative, we are running the same offense, just showing more sets and using different personnel groupings.
It's apparent you haven't been reading much about the Tigers since Coach Eaux took over...

Kelly will definitely turn the ball over and LSU will need to score when he does. And I agree, Kelly will get his yards in the air and I expect him to have around 40-50 rushing. I'd like to see LSU's D keep Kelly from rushing for any TDs. Also, that TE of his Evan Engram is going to be the guy Kelly looks for 1st and 2nd and I'd like to see LSU's D shut Engram down the way the 2013 team did to A&M Evans.

We will have a true gameplan possibly a couple in case one fails. We will run the ball a lot like we always do but keep them guessing like Les never could do or would. How about we stick to what's working until it doesn't and be prepared for what ever the game throws at us. Of course we will run the ball, we have two of the best RBs in the nation. I think we will see longer drives but also see quick explosive scores. Difference is our defense will be ready for this bc O and LSU knows exactly what they will try to do so I'm sure they are preparing them for a fast pace game on defense. Quick stops and get TOs and keep Chad in the pocket collapse the pocket around him and cause mayhem. GT

If we decide to go old school for any game the rest of the year its this one. Now we don't need to be in heavy formations the whole game to run the ball but there is a major place for it in this weeks game plan. I also like using the RBs/FBs/TEs in the pass game this week. They will put their corners in M2M so play action is not going to get our outside WR's open. PA will however give us advantages with RBs on the wheel routes and TEs on the seam routes.
