If he can continue his play next year he can definitely improve his stock. A switch hitting catcher is very rare. What are your thoughts?

He has made a pretty penny from his CWS showing. He's gone and everyone should be extremely happy for him.

Yeah, he should be able to negotiate from a nice position.

That's a good thought my friend. Although 9th round to the Astros is nothing to disregard if he stays and avoids injury it is possible he moves up 4-5 rounds in my opinion...

However a National Title might be the way he chooses to move on if we take Florida...

Selfishly, I'd love to see him back...

So far he is LSUs CWS mvp.

I think he is gone, but who knows. Sure are going to miss him behind the plate.

He was drafted in the top 10 rounds by the Astros.

The Astros have a lot of bonus slot money available due to the Cardinal's spying penalties. He might even be able to get 7th round money, he is gone.

Could pap switch sides (bat left, bat right) between each pitch. Sounds crazy but it would certainly screw up a pitchers mindset. Never seen it done. Does a rule deny this. I'll listen. No name calling please. I know, why would he want to do this? Just brain fart conversation.

As an Astros fan - can't wait to see him in our unis. We have Gattis and McCann with the big club and a very good triple A catcher that will take over in the next couple years.

Yes. The pitcher is required to declare which hand he will use before the at bat, and must use that hand the entire at bat. The batter can switch at will between pitches.
