If you read their posts on Les Miles and his current coaching search, you are led to believe that the hiring and recruiting abilities of Les Miles are very questionable.
Nothing Could Be Further From The Truth!
"Stoops Will Not Get The D.C. Job"
Prepare Yourselves To Admit Les Miles Deserves Your Respect.

Hell no, they won't. Besides hiring back Peveto, he's never mad a bad hire. The co-dc experiment didn't work, but he fixed that pretty quick. Some will never love Miles.

I hope to God you are right.

It will be no surprise to me when he hires Stoops, starts Jennings, and finish 7-5 and hopefully choosing to step down quietly.

At some point you have to face reality. You told us to trust Miles through,
Malveto
Crowton
Stud
Peveto
And now Chavis
Your opinion is worthless at this point

Even if we hire a great DC, we're still in the same spot we were last season. Which is completely unacceptable. And that's the best case.

IDGAF who we hire I just want a passing game.

Prepare to be shocked, prepare your anal, prepare yourself to be humbled, prepare to apologize to Les Miles!

not really, a great hire will be an improvement over Chavis both in X and O's and in recruiting

He actually tried to bring his DC from Okie St originally, the guy's name was already on the staff directory, until there was an uproar that resulted in the hire of Pelini. Yes, unless someone holds his feet to the fire, he will make a bad hire.

Or what? What exactly are you going to do?
More importantly what in the shite do you know about hiring assistant coaches?
The blatant ignorance of this board is exploding.
The truth is you know nothing about big time football other what your equally ignorant buddies tell you.
Go back to lying about your sex life and leave football to people that have been there.

Ah revisionist history. Now that Chavis left, he's a mediocre DC and didn't recruit at all.

I pray it's not Stops and wish it was an OC we were hashing out. Need both IMHO .

I've never been sold on Miles. Ever. There are so many flaws in his coaching game. People don't want to admit that we've won in SPITE of Miles, not because of him. And he obviously can't even get a decent QB (complete with talent AND character) to develop. They either arent very good or they leave/get kicked off of the team before they ever see the field.
I don't understand what it is about Miles that people like so much.

what makes you say that? IF he makes that hire it's going to be because he thinks he is the best man for the job. I'll take Miles word on that particular point over other people on heres opinion. Won't know for a year or two whether it was a good hire or not with whoever he hires. Now some hires will make fans more excited than others but it really means nothing as far as the quality of the hire.

You mean Stoops who has only been a DC for 3 years at a talented Oklahoma team and their defense has sucked. A guy Oklahoma fans want fired is a good hire?
quote:
Now, the more pertinent question: why would LSU be interested in Stoops? Since returning to Oklahoma in 2012, the Sooners have ranked 50th, 22nd and 55th in scoring defense. LSU ranked fourth this season under John Chavis.

Moving to LSU would mean bump in pay for Mike Stoops, but my somewhat educated guess is his jump would be more to take heat off Bob.

Winning is all that matters. Don't care who he hires as long as he wins.
Posted on 1/4/15 at 10:24 am to TrueTigerTale
I will show more respect for Miles when he consistently puts a product on the field that commands that respect.

So you thought Chavis was a bad hire.
