Will Mickey stay now that he's pretty much guaranteed to go undrafted?

What's his status? Signed with an agent? Can he return?

What new information does he have from the time he declared? The high amount of early entrants? I doubt that's a deterrent.

About 10 encyclopedias worth of TD-expert posts telling him how dumb it is. They're worth their weight in gold IMO

Already signed with agent. He gone.

You can probably get one the day after the draft.

Well that was a mistake

It's not like anyone was saying he would be drafted when he declared. Clearly he is ready to make money, even if it isn't much money.

If he doesnt get drafted he may have to make money at McDonalds.

He won't get drafted. Sorry to say

it's too late for him to return

Ah thanks. Wasn't sure if he had signed yet.

I could see where there'd need to be agreements in place between the NBA and NCAA for that scenario, but it could be the best for the players- you could submit your name, and you lose eligibility if you get picked. Might be too crazy for the university though- Kentucky could have 4+ players every season on hold, which would screw recruiting up big time.

If he doesn't catch on in the NBA and doesn't go to Europe, he can make way more money working at McDonalds. You basically play for free in the D league here. That's why you should get your degree. And honestly, being as he's played basketball and hasnt had to work, he prob doesn't even have the skills or experience to work at a restaurant to even make more than a 15 year old there.

Pretty much every mock draft I've seen has him at least getting drafted.

Also I think a lot of you guys have the wrong idea about players leaving early in general. Much like Coach Calipari has recognized at Kentucky, arguably the best recruiting tool a basketball coach can have is to have players be able to go to the league early. That's what pretty much every top high school prospect wants to do and seeing others do it only bolsters a programs chances at getting top recruits. Also I don't know if most of you realize but for most college basketball players the longer you stay in college the lower your draft stock will be (excluding a few guys like Kaminsky, Lillard, Cauley-Stein, Grant, etc). The average NBA career is a little under 5 years and NBA teams want to get guys out of college as young as possible which is why most upperclassmen go in the second round anyway (Just look at those mock drafts).

Want to take a guess why the average NBA career is 5 years?
here's a news flash......the guys who stick around 1 or 2 years because they arent ready and get dumped on their arse bring down the average
