What are the chances?

I would think pretty good. Neither is projected to even sniff the first round.

I really hope they both come back but I believe in my heart we get Martin Back and Mickey leaves...

Got worse tonight. UK sent 5-6 draft picks over 6'10'' at them tonight and they went toe to toe with them.

Mickey is 6'8'' with a very limited floor game. That doesnt translate to the NBA.

Good point. But a slight argument against your point is Mickey and Martin are more experienced than the freshmen that still out played them.

Tyrus Thomas had what a 5 or 6 year run in the NBA just on shot blocking alone, at least Mickey has range, plus is a better shot blocker than Tyrus...

Half of those UK bigs aren't freshmen.

Mickey is not the athlete Tyrus was.
Mickey will have to develope a much better and consistent mid range jumpshot.

Martin should absolutely go.
That dude needs NBA development. He has all the talent and a great body.
No reason for him to come back, unless he just wants to be part of a great team next year.

Slim and none. Slim just left town.

The only reason for them to come back is to win a championship, they wpnt get much better playing college ball

quote:Tyrus' body was NBA-ready; Mickey's body is not NBA-ready. Thomas was physically able to play defense in the NBA; Mickey is not anywhere near ready to defend NBA 4's or 3's. He probably is ready to defend NBADL 4's.

If they do you will most likely never hear their names mentioned at the NBA level. Unless they make the practice squads, if they even have those in the NBA.

Honestly I think them having the kind of games that they had on this stage hurts our chances of them staying. But I loved how the announcer said with our incoming class, and M&M staying, LSU is a top 10 team.

Not really though. Plenty of times those guys just out worked and out muscled them. They both elevated their game, martin looked great. Martin also looked out of shape compared to their players. But if he and martin both played the way they did tonight, we would be in.

quote:Unfortunately, I tend to agree. Yes the score indicated that our team stayed within a couple of points of an NBA loaded roster. I thought Martin worked his arse off for most of this game, but don't know that either showed the ability to contribute significantly against that kind of talent on a regular basis. Yes, we had some dunks , but did not show the ability to stop their bigs underneath and gave up way too many offensive rebounds.
