Will LSU start the 2016 College Football Season ranked #1 in all major polls?

I mean the hype surrounding this team with the returning starters and a talent new DC is much deserved. It will probably be one of the best to take the field in the Miles era. Do we start the season as concensus #1 across all major polls?

I actually hope not. Dont need the early season pressure and prefer to let others have the spotlight. Just need to hang around top 5 til end of season.

Most definitely not. Bama and Clemson will both start higher. Wouldn't surprise me to see Michigan pretty high too

Some mags will have LSU at #1.. But I can see them between 4-7 at worst.... But that's cool...

I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that LSU will not, nor should they be ranked at #1 to start the season. They are basically bringing back the same team that lost 3 games. They also have the same head coach and offensive cood who have yet to be able to develop a qb at LSU. Bringing in a new def cood who has to impliment a new system will also take time.

I sure as hell hope not. this team has a lot going for it but it needs to improve it's passing attack in the worse way and that is going to take several games where they consistently use it to score TD's. they don't need early complacency.

Lsu isn't even going to open in the top 5, much less be ranked #1 to start the season. Probably be ranked at or just outside the top 10.
We may feel good about the talent we have returning but we still are going to have to prove to the rest of the country that we are going to have improved QB play, passing game, and offense scheme for the pollsters to take notice. If we do those things right from the start of the season we will jump teams quickly in the polls, other wise early on we will gradually be slotted up in the polls as teams ahead of us lose. Then we will drop off out the rankings as we lose multiple games late in the season.

Remember about a month ago when we almost replaced our coach. Been quite a turnaround over the last two months.
