Well that's just dumb.

It's probability. Getting to MLB is highly unlikely in general. It's even more difficult for outfielders which are basically a dime a dozen.

Power lefties and switch-hitting catchers have better odds... But what's a 1% chance compared to a .01% chance?

When he came in, it was stated many times the family wanted him to stay all 4 years/get his degree. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he stayed.

Considering your track record, denigrating others opinions seems a bit ignorant of your own concotions.

At least he added a qualifier. Something you never do

This is true for 98% of the players drafted.

My track record is damn good, for one.

2ndly, that isn't a much a qualifier. What does that even mean? Does he think they aren;t talented enough to make it? Does he think they wont make it because generally most guys dont make it?

anyway, my point is there are 30mlb teams, and i would say half carry an OF with speed(most who can't even hit). And it's even more prevalent when the rosters expand at the end of the season.

both these guys are fast enough, play good enough defense(being LH is a plus too) to where they wont even need to hit well to make the majors. Now will they be everyday starters? who knows.

Exactly. It's easy to predict anyone to never make it to the majors. Even 1st rounders

Yea but come on. Laird and Stevenson are not sniffing a mlb club. If...big if...one does, it will be Stevenson.

tony campana (.249). LH
eric young jr (.252) switch hitter
peter bourjos (.247)
billy hamilton (.253) switch
jarrod dyson (.256) LH
terrance gore (.235)
ben revere (.290) LH
jordan schaeffer (.229) LH
sam fuld (.238) LH
delinso desheilds jr (.267) LH
logan schaefer (.208) LH
ender inciarte (.282) LH
gregor blanco (.256) LH

what do they all have in common? well they certainly aren't great hitters. But they all can run, most are lefthanded, and most can play more than 1 OF position. Oh and they've all played in the majors within the last 2 years.

There are more guys like this added to rosters once they expand.

Y'all really don't think Laird or Stevenson can muster enough contract to play similar roles? C"mon

Are those their big league averages? I ask, because the pitching they're facing is different than what Stevie and Laird are facing right now(obviously).

Yes.

I don't think laird and Stevenson are .350 MLB hitters.

I do think they are talented enough to hit 250 tho. And with their speed can make them useful

I think the main thing that will hold them back is their weak arms.

Do any of those players you mentioned hit for power? You can't just post BA.

Do any of those players on that list not have a single home run?

Not saying you are wrong but you need to post more stats to prove your point

Lol, all have way more power and most of those guys were drafted out of highschool so you couldn't compare college stats. College is equivalent of a high A minor league, not close to mlb

None of those guys have power. They Prob have 20 HRs combined between them, if that

Laird or Stevenson have 0% chance of making
a MLB roster-- speed
& fielding are not enough to get it done.
A few years riding buses in the Minors
would probably be realistic. Why not
finish their careers as LSU Outfield
GOAT's --- they can write their ticket in
the private sector after they graduate-- making
More money then they will ever make playing
Baseball.Plus have more
Poon Tang than they can handle.

Serious question- have you watched any of those guys play? Terrance Gore and Ben Revere have "way more power" than Stevenson and Laird?
