I think Etling is going to actually have a good to very good season this year.

Finally is under a good OC/QB coach, fully healthy, and a creative offense. He'll win us some close games this year.

Etling was a 4 star coming out of HS and heading to Purdue. I think he's exactly what we need in the first year of Canada's offense.

If would be cool if he has a similar year like Aj Mccarrons, an excellent game manager with minimal mistakes

That is all we have ever needed. A guy who can throw a 5 yard in and an 8 yard out who doesn't turn it over. We have so much talent at the skills spots. Just get the ball to the animals and turn them loose.

That and a coach who doesn't run toss dive left and right predictably all fricking game.

Danny Elting, if he started every game last year and we didn't lose the game vs South Alabama, would have had nearly identical stats in comparison to Mettenberger's JR season.

If he takes a step forward like Mett (his SR year) did this year, we could be destined for a very good season.

You were warned long ago...you will all bend the knee to Lord Etling.

He is about to have a GREAT year.

Etling has shown his toughness on the field. He leads by example. Works with the other QBs to make them better. He prepares for games like a pro.

It's hard not to like this kid. I hope he has a great season for LSU and to reward him for all of his hard work.

Confusing, but he meant lost as in not played thanks to UF and their BS.

He played in 11 games, started 10, and the home game vs South Alabama was canceled to squeeze Florida in.

If Chappy was actually a coach, he'd know LSU rarely ever ran dive off the toss.

This.

I also see him going to be an extremely stable backup in the NFL. Man has it between the ears.

Not worried bout D.E's talent or ability. The O line will make or break him, however. Even not counting the bama game, he got hammered more than a few times last yr.

Kid reminds me a lot of Matt Mauck. We basically needed unreal execution vs equally talented teams in order to have a nice offensive game under Cameron.

It's always easier to put up stats when you out talent a team.

Canada is our answer.
