At what point is it not a slump? I know he was highly ranked as a recruit, but sometimes these things don't always translate to college basketball. Elbert is a good example.
Although it now seems like ages ago, Blakeney was shooting fine at the beginning of the season.

True, but SWB, McNeese, the State of Kennesaw, and South are pretty bad. Only one over .500 among them (SWB).

If he wants to go to the draft in June he better break out something

Elbert is a terrible example. If you want an example, use Tack Minor.

The example is fine. It is an analogy. They aren't the same player. They are highly ranked recruits that struggle to translate at the next level.

He most certainly was. He was not ranked as high as Blakeney, but he was a big time recruit.

Tone will be fine. He's a role player this year but I think he'll be a stud next year.

I think the issue is you don't expect a top 15 player to be a role player. He certainly has room to grow, no doubt, but his level of talent was expected to pay immediate dividends.

You may be the dumbest poster here.
Is Shortess your son?

His best game of the year! Hopefully, we see this guy the rest of the way. LSU will be a tough out.

He's become a pretty solid defensive player and rebounder too.
Posted on 2/8/16 at 11:20 am to LMfan
that is a GIGANTIC improvement
Posted on 2/8/16 at 11:21 am to LSU Patrick
Good call, should've looked at rebounding. 4.5 boards a game over that stretch.
Pretty damn great for a 6'4 guard. Helps that he has crazy hops and of course plays with high effort.
