why not just give 20k tickets away to high school kids etc

Pretend they r 5 bucks a head and give the 100k to USCe, Let them fill up upper decks etc

They don't want a huge crowd. They don't have the staff, food, beverages, etc... to handle it.

I don't think this game will be a winner financially to either team. Both are trying to limit the loss in a bad situation.

If we could supply the concessions, I think it would be a great idea to hand out a ton of tickets to BR schools. We'd sell enough concessions to justify dumping tickets that otherwise wouldn't sell.
But, like posted, I think concessions are an issue.

LSU will save a ton of money by not having to travel to SC.....If they wanted too, they could put more people in the stadium and still save money compared to what they would have spent

Eh, free tickets (or free anything) tends to not draw in the most desirable crowds. People with skin in the game are usually better behaved (relatively). And a bunch of unsupervised high schoolers on campus...not brightest idea.
