Why not allow the full 35 man roster at the CWS?

I hate the 27 man travel roster for postseason, especially for the College World Series.
The full squad should be able to participate in the sport's biggest event, but the NCAA only allows 27 of 35?
For football bowl games, there are 100-120 guys dressed out and it doesn't hurt a thing.
I don't understand the logic.

What?
Let's say you were "worthy" all year, but were injured? Is that reason enough to say you can't travel as part of the team to the CWS?

I'm ok with having a travel roster for playing purposes, but does everyone on the team at least get to travel to the CWS (even if some can't participate)? It's a great accomplishment for the team. I think everyone on the team should at least get to go, even if not all can actually suit up to play.
EDT: I think the entire team makes the trip. I'm friends with a guy who was a back up, back up catcher in the early 2000's who made the trip with the team even though he clearly wasn't going to play.

no. actually, most of the players who don't make the roster start summer ball early

Let's say you made the team because you beat out the next best player. You sat the bench all year long and the few times you got in, you struck out. That's reason enough to say you can't travel as part of the team to the CWS. Let the players make the trip who sat in the dugout most of the season but did get a hit or did catch a ball or two the few times they got on the field.
It's only fair. It's shitty that the entire team can't go because even those who don't see action still provide motivation for the rest of the team but given the shitty situation, you have to make logical calls.

They "proved themselves worthy" by making the team.

I am certain Greg Deichmann would prefer to be hanging over the rail with a rally cap at the CWS instead of playing for Podunk in a summer league for the next two weeks.

i don't disagree with that, but it is what it is. the guys who don't make the tournament travel rosters are shipped out after the last game of the regular season

cuts cost - all this stuff - wanting more schollys - ND , when cpm was there - did not fund 11.7 , run the cost up

I'm sure it all has to do with money. If I'm not mistaken , injured starters on the football team do not get to travel to away games.

Not sure but my roommate in college was a walk-on and he only traveled with the team to bowl games. Four years on the team and he played the last two plays of the Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame and made the last tackle of the game. He said it was worth all the practices.

I agree it really sucks for the 8 men that can't make the trip with the team. They should definitely change that rule for the CWS
