I counted Wisconsin ran 5 counters in a row at one point....Bama runs tons of them. It's not being a running team that bothers the shite out of me it's the lack of ingenuity in the running game itself. We don't have to be the 88 miami dolphins for god sake....just try and fool em a little....use a little thought in the gameplan?

We ran counters. I'm not going to look for evidence, but I was at the stadium and it appeared to me that we did.

Why no draws? The answer is fairly obvious. The purpose of a draw is to trick a defense that's worried about the pass. If you were playing defense against LSU would you be worried about the pass? Neither was Wisconsin.

The real answer to the question, "Why didn't we run XXX?" is we only ran about 50 plays. Hell, it's hard to run much of anything when you chop off 30% of the plays.

We didn't run any counters...all we ran was dive's and iso's.

I thought I saw counter action a couple of times, but like I said, I was at the game, and you miss a lot when you're not watching the telecast.

Too painful. Lesticles has been surgically castrated. Gauze but no draws.

Because those plays take time to develop, and our line couldn't block for shite.

We ran inside zone, outside zone, power and belly. Belly was the only thing new that I noticed. Anyone who says we ran counter doesn't know what they are talking about.

You can't run counters if your pulling guard was in a walking boot 24 hours prior to the game (Clapp). His play showed that he should have sat out. Boutte sure as hell doesn't have the foot speed to pull around.

Pretty much. What got lost in the offensive line's performance is that Moore was blowing fools up. It was all for not though because someone else would blow an assignment allowing a defender to hit Fournette almost immediately.

another mystery is why do we even call screen passes.

they are used to mitigate the pass rush.

who pass rushes LSU? they may run blitz and accidentally get a pass rush.

You talking about 4th and 1 play when Clapp didn't make it to his defender? If not, he hurt us more in that game than he helped.

Exactly. What everyone around here refers to "Toss dive" is actually LSU's version of power. We ran it two or three times if I remember correctly. It was more than once but a lot less than normal.
