So what? The #1 defense last year and we still had 5 losses because of our inept QB play. What makes you think our season will be any different next year? Same head coach. Same starting QB. Unless we have a change at QB, (not happening) the defense can be incredible and it won't really matter that much. We will get similar results.

The thread is about how LSU can repeat as the conferences best D. You contribute nothing. Congrats.

Watch out LSU fans (Spider-Man yes Spider-Man I think a 12 year old) says we can not get better at Quarterback.

It's not about the ranking.

I'll take a top 5 defense as long as we have more sacks, tfl, or can close out games better defensively over yardage stats.

Turnovers would be beast

Statistically our defense may have been the best, but situational, there were times when they should've been alot better.

You realize that (even with, who was at one point, the worst statistical QB in D1) we were 3 well timed sacks away from 11-2..
Those 3 sacks would've put at us 22 total on the year.. Still.. bottom 3 in terms of production since 2002.
Miniscule improvements in any facet will have us competing for a SEC championship.
so cheer up butternuts.

LSU's defense wasn't in the top three of the SEC last year. Stats don't tell the story. When your offense grinds it out on the ground it eats clock and automatically improves the defense's stats.

Flip that thought and factor our offensive struggles. When the box was stacked and our 3rd down conversions were off, our D was back on the field prematurely.

CLMS has to improve his coaching.

I like him, but he is inconsistent. Let's go LSU.

The 2013 and 2014 defenses were the worst in Chavis's tenure.

The 2015 will be better than last year and it has almost nothing to do with the DC.

Imagine if Florida's converted DE doesn't drop a TD pass. Bad Bo doesn't do Bad Bo. aTm doesn't assume they have a free play.

Could have been a very different season.

Let's also imagine that we have 1 minute left against Miss St. Auburn's starting QB sits out at home due to a bad hang nail. And Leonard Fournette gets more than 5 carries and Harris gets to play some against Arkansas.

Could have been very different season.

Did I do that right?
