LSU played Tennessee on Monday night in 2005. Nothing is out of the question when there's a disaster to monetize. The Carolina floods are all over the news these past 2 weeks. They have a major media narrative to talk into, which makes it highly compelling for viewers. If they can find a way to get it in a timeslot which guarantees a larger audience, less competition, and no issues with CBS, they're going to do it and hype it as a major game of the week. While my guess is that they will play at either 11:00am or 3:00pm, it wouldn't shock me if this ended up being a primetime friday night game.

LSU wants a night game to make it even more sucky for the USC football team.

As an SC fan, you would be upset at later? Seems like the later the better for a team that has to travel at such late notice.

They would have to cancel classes Friday and they aren't going to do that.

Does anyone actually go to class on the Friday before games anyway?

Wrong. Fall break is the Thursday and Friday of the bye week.

Just say we can't be ready until 2:30. So tell everyone we will play at 2:30 or later and then let CBS decide what to freaking do. Don't even put 11 on the table. Screw any game played in the morning.

Spurrier wants either 11 or 3 & as much as he probably feels he's given in to, no doubt he's pushing to get at least one thing in his favor. ESPN wants to showcase Fournette & with all the other games as competition in the other time slots, he would have the spot light on the 11 am game. But as for CBS, I thought the league's tv contract was with ESPN. Since when did CBS get so much stroke?

Um because I would imagine LSU and USC would like for the game to be televised.

Sorry, it must be just the law center this week. Why does it matter, though? Since when has LSU ever cared about the students?

LSU's priorities:
1. Football
2. Administrator salaries
3. research grants
4. High roller donations

hey frick face, due to your school having a shitty insurance policy, your school actually prefers it to be a night game for more ticket revenue.
